Another day, another pile of sewing!
Working on a pile of tops today, I can't face another corset just yet. I'm very tired, my bladder aches, and I have to go to the loo every half an hour. Very fed up. I am also getting very tired of answering the following question "Can't the doctor do anything more for you?". Because obviously, they can wave a magic wand, and voila, I am better. By magic. Yeah, right. All I can do is take anti-inflammatories and painkillers, and eat a bland diet, for the rest of my fucking life. Don't you think I've ASKED the doctor for more help? Don't you think I would be offered it if there was any? There is approximately one research project going on on my illness, in the US, meaning their findings will probably not be implemented over here for another 10 years. 10 more years of this, even if they find something that can help. Trying not to think about it at the moment, it's too upsetting.
Charnel went pretty well, although we checked the head count against the tickets sold, and it didn't add up. Door staff will need re-briefing. I think I know who blagged in, and it will probably result in a banning, only our second ever! Not bad in 3+ years. I'm just tired of dealing with morons and idiots. I would up with everyone trying to hug me because I'm ill, and I'm not a huggy person, and it hurts quite a lot to be crushed against someone when your bladder and back ache. Still, I made it through the whole night, despite nearly throwing up in David's car. Go me!
I'm slopping about in the scruffiest clothes imaginable, I really must make an effort or Ghost will recoil in horror when he finally gets up ! :o Must get my act together.
On the plus side, ebay auctions are picking up. Is it just me, or is everything a bit quiet on ebay at the moment? I have picked up a couple of absolute steals recently, including a massive corset bag for a fiver and some new pinstripe trousers for £2! I'm bidding on some VERY cheap patterns at the moment, perfect for gothic lolita clothes and accessories. One is of adorable collars and cuffs, which look exactly like something from the GLB. I really hope I win them, they are so pretty!
